چکیده

China digital audio broadcasting in FM band (commonly referred to as CDR) is a newly released digital audio broadcasting standard (GY/T 268-2013) which operates in the FM-band (87MHz to 108MHz) in China. This report introduces this standard in English for the first time which is based on an official version written in Chinese, including multiplexing, frame structure, channel coding and modulation schemes, etc. In the report, a CDR receiver simulation chain is designed and tested. To be specific, several problems of the CDR receiver are investigated and analyzed including local oscillator offset, Doppler shift and time-variation. Solutions for every problem are explored and implemented in Matlab selectively. Together with the multipath channel modeling and the defined transmitter model implementation in Matlab, the complete FM-band digital audio broadcasting chain is simulated and tested. The proposed solution of the CDR receiver indicates the applicability of the FM-band digital audio broadcasting standard. It is a preliminary research on CDR standard and may be improved in the future. care and encouragement in my life and study; I would like to thank Dr.Ir Rob Kooij of TNO for the instructions during my internship which gave me the confidence and platform to do my thesis project in NXP Semiconductor; I would like to thank Audrey Cuenin of EPFL for accompanying and supporting me during this project; I would like to thank my parents for their supporting me on my study, caring about my life and selfless love.

Proceedings of the 5th Progress Symposium on Embedded Systems

The number of wireless communication links is witnessing tremendous growth and new standards are being introduced at high pace. However, circuit development is costly and time consuming due to mask costs and design iterations. Moreover, with ever-increasing radio standard complexity, these costs are increasing. This pleads for a Software Defined Radio approach, in which one piece of flexible ra...

A combined receiver front-end for Bluetooth and HiperLAN/2

A Software Defined Radio is a radio receiver that is reconfigurable by software. This reconfigurability leads to flexibility that can be used to offer more functionality to the user. Also, because common reconfigurable hardware can be used for very diverse radio interfaces, production and logistics can be faster and cheaper. In our Software Defined Radio project we aim at a receiver that is abl...

Broadband Receiver for Software Defined Radio in Giga-hz Range Based on 40nm Si Technology Broadband Receiver for Software Defined Radio in Giga-hz Range Based on 40nm Si Technology

In this paper, a low voltage ultra-wideband RF receiver for Software-Defined Radio (SDR) is presented. In SDR design, the radio frequency (RF) receiver should be able to receive signals over a broadbandwidth so that it can satisfy a variety of different communication standards. In the proposed design, working frequency ranging from 0.1GHz to 6GHz RF front-end for SDR, covering almost all of mat...
